The green structure of the Piraeus Bank Group
For better coordination of the Bank’s environmental work, the Office for Environmental Affairs was formed in 2004, which evolved into the Environment Unit in 2009. In the same year, the Green Business Sector was created, renamed in 2013 to Environmental Banking. It includes the Green Banking Operations, ETVA Industrial Parks SA, and Development Programmes Division. The green structure of the Group also includes the network of branches with Green Banking Advisors , that support clients in green entrepreneurship issues. Since 2010, the Chairman of the Board of the Group has been designated as responsible for environmental policies. The General Manager for Environmental Banking briefs the Board on the progress of environmental policies on a regular basis.
