George I. Poulopoulos
Mr. George Poulopoulos is Deputy Managing Director of Piraeus Bank since late June 2016. Previously he was Εxecutive General Manager and CFO of Piraeus Βank, as well as a member of its Executive Committee.
Mr. Poulopoulos was CFO since 2010, having, among other tasks, the responsibility for the financial oversight of the successful acquisitions and integration of 7 acquired banking operations since 2012 and the realization of synergies.
He began his career at Piraeus Bank in February 1999 in the Division of Business Planning, where he worked as a manager / project leader responsible for critical assignments, such as the Bank’s transition to euro currency.
Before joining Piraeus Bank, Mr Poulopoulos worked from 1993 until 1999 as Assistant Manager in the Department of Economic Analysis at the Ionian and Popular Bank.
Mr. Poulopoulos is a graduate in Economics of the University of Athens and holds an MBA from Henley Management College in London. He is married with two children.
